Some were too tired to argue and others were relieved when the staff could accommodate their primary concern which was the smoking issue. During the conference we connected with many associates and doctors and every single one we spoke with had the very same story about their check in experience. After asking to have them locate a non smoking room on another property for us, they magically came up with a non smoking queen room. The staff person was completely unapologetic about the matter. We were told only smoking queen rooms were available. We were told that our room selection was unavailable and the clerk went so far as to say 'it's first come first serve' as though having a reservation is completely irrelevant. After driving 6 1/2 hours from upstate NY we waited half an hour in line to check in with just 2 people in front of us. We made reservations 4 weeks ago for a non smoking king room.
It's free and they are wonderfully friendly and helpful, and the food and staff serving it in the conference area were excellent. My husband and I attended a Dental Conference for 2 days there and the best part of the trip honestly was the valets and parking. We just returned yesterday from the MGM Foxwoods and we won't be going back.
